1/2hr Trek

This is an easy ride, suitable for beginner, small children or nervous riders. Riders enjoy a leisurely walk around a flat trail at Thompsons Horse centre.

We have a few locations where we take riders to local destinations to enjoy a scenic ride in the countryside, through forestry and some open farmland. Riders need some experience and be able to rise to the trot.

1 day Trek

Riders and horses are transported from Thompsons Horse Centre at 9am - traveling to the beautiful Wairarapa to enjoy a lovely ride, then to a country pub for a late lunch, and transported back to Thompsons Horse centre at about 4pm. Riders need some experience and able to rise to the trot.
$250-00pp - Including lunch and transport

2 day Overnight Treks

Come and enjoy a relaxing 2 days away from the busy city life. Treks leave at 9am from Thompsons Horse and travel to the beautiful Wairarapa Day 1 starts with lunch on arrival and then a 4 hour afternoon trek over farmland and river crossings. In the evening enjoy a home cooked meal and a glass of wine while staying over night in a comfortable house. Day 2 we head out on another 4 hour trek returning to the house for a late lunch, then returning to Thompsons horse centre by 4pm.
$600pp includes transport, meals & accommodation.
